The Outta Excuses Small Business Empowerment Grant awards $3,000 every quarter to small businesses and nonprofits. It is built for owners who already have a registered entity and want funding to take a concrete next step.
What You Can Win
The grant is $3,000 per quarter.
The program has also run a larger bonus drawing in which every applicant in the cycle is automatically entered, and additional winners have received free weekly strategic coaching sessions for 30 days.
The program’s site does not state how many winners are chosen each quarter.
Who Can Apply
In order to be eligible, you will need:
- A registered LLC or a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that generates under $500,000 per year; AND
- Legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico; AND
- At least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska).
The revenue ceiling is lower than many small business grants, which makes this one a good fit for businesses that are still small.
How to Apply
You complete an online application, pay the entry fee, and provide documentation showing your LLC registration and that your annual revenue is under $500,000. Have those documents ready before you start.
Cost
There is a $15 non-refundable entry fee, which the program says covers platform setup and administrative management.
Where to Apply
Use the official application page. Application windows follow a quarterly schedule with a posted closing time, so check the page for the current one.
